Arrangements

One of my first CD's that I got as a young bassoonist was Bassoonatics, a bassoon quartet CD by the Canadian group the Caliban Quartet. On it were a number of arranged works for bassoon quartet, all of which had a profound impact on me. After hearing the Caliban Quartet I adapted an interest in arranging and adapting works for solo bassoon, bassoon ensembles, and wind quintet. My first arrangement was dedicated to my undergraduate teacher, Carl Rath. Since then I have gone on to write and publish a number of different works. Below are the arrangements I have available for purchase through their respective publishers.

W. F. Strong

Quarantine Polka

Info: W.F. Strong's "Quarantine Polka" was written in 1885 during a smallpox outbreak in Iowa. Strong was a prolific composer and music teacher, establishing his own school of music at Dixon College in Iowa. This piece is originally composed for piano, but has been masterfully arranged for woodwind quintet. A fun and easy addition to the repertoire!
